We had an awesome time this year doing our part to help Topeka Toys for Tots. The fishing was on fire along the main channel, and the fish were not at all shy about coming up and just nailing your jig for all they were worth. I was using a Red?Chartreuse solid body tube from Top Secret Jigs, and had 20 fish in the box by 10:30. It was one of those days you lay in bed dreaming about at night basically, maybe our reward for the toys we brought to donate, Josh Rouse that writes for the Topeka Capitol Journal did a really nice article on our event for us, I'll put a link to it below and highly recommend you give it a glancing over. .

It is great having an event with a cause, not only people are enjoying but also helping out those who are in need. Fishing is being done mostly as a hobby, because people are able to find entertainment in it. With this, witnessing the different kinds of fishes is something they live for. They consider the fishes as a reward for their hard work and at the same time contribute for the Toys for Tots benefit tournament. Sometimes doing something that we love will benefit not only ourselves but also people who are in need.
